September Quilting & Sewing Group

When? Thursday, September 24, 11:30-12:30 noon at The Church and 6:30-7:30pm at Cathy’s House

What will we be doing?
1. Decorative Throw Pillow (Pattern, Sewing Instructions, and a Supply List will be available at Quilting class.)

2. 12 Block Quilt -We’ll be going over Block #7 (Taught by Cathy U’Ren)

*NEW 12 Block Summary Paper. Available at Quilting group there will be a 12 Block Summary paper with all the blocks we have worked on, so far, in class. It’s complete with: Sewing Instructions, Measurements, Sketches of the Methods to use, and Tips and Techniques to make sewing the quilt blocks that much easier. This will be a helpful guide to everyone. New comers can grab a summary paper and jump right in joining the class. You will have all the information you need to start sewing your blocks right at your finger tips. It will be so nice to have the summary paper right in front of you, and in your own home, to help guide you through measuring and sewing each quilt block. (This summary will be updated, once a month, after every Quilting group.)

* Everyone is welcome! Please come join us. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make your very own 12 Block Quilt.

* Please feel free to bring your finished blocks, finished take-home sewing projects, or anything else you would like to Show and Tell us to Quilting Group. We’d love to see them!

*This month’s take-home project is a Decorative Throw Pillow. Here’s another way to surround yourself with patterns prints and colors of all different shapes and sizes: round, rectangle, heart, square, both day and night. Toss them on your bed, snuggle up with one on your couch for an afternoon nap, take them with you in the car, and their great for camping and sleepovers too. Make a matching set or mix patterns and colors for a truly unique look that will enhance your home and your bedroom décor.
