July Quilting Group

When? Wednesday, July 22, 11:00-12:00 noon at The Church, and Thursday, July 23, 6:30-7:30pm at Cathy U'Ren's House

What will we be doing?

1. Sun Hat -Pattern, Sewing Instructions, and a Supply List will be available for Free at Quilting Group.

2. 12 Block Quilt -We’ll be going over Block #4 combined with The Flying Geese Block. (Taught by Cathy U'Ren)

*NEW* 12 Block Summary Paper (Available at Quilting group) There will be a 12 Block Summary paper with all the blocks we have worked on, so far, in class. It’s complete with: Sewing Instructions, Measurements, Methods to use, Sketches of each block, and Tips and Techniques to make sewing the quilt blocks that much easier. This will be a helpful guide to everyone. New comers can grab a summary paper and jump right in joining the class. You will have all the information you need to start sewing your blocks right at your finger tips. It will be so convenient to have the summary paper right in front of you, and in your own home, to help guide you through measuring and sewing each quilt block. (This summary paper will be updated, once a month, after every Quilting Class.)

* Everyone is welcome! Please come join us. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make your very own 12 Block Quilt.

* Please feel free to bring your finished Quilt Blocks, finished take-home sewing projects, or anything else you would like to Show and Tell us about to Quilting Group. We'd love to see them!

*This month’s take-home project is a Sun Hat. With Summer here it’s nice to have a stylish sun hat that will shade you from the hot sun. It’s the timeless wide-brimmed style that you can take along with you anywhere: to the pool, in your own backyard to work in your garden, pack it in your suitcase and take it with you on vacation, out on your morning jog to keep the sun out of your eyes, or you can wear it just to show it off as your out around town running errands and doing your weekly shopping. Do something good for your skin by stitching this summery project.
